Huawei has bundled a Dark Mode on the Huawei P30 and Huawei P30 Pro for those looking to squeeze a little extra life out of their handset — not that they should need to seeing as the latter has a mammoth 3650mAh and the latter a colossal 4200mAh cell, which should be able to see them both through at least a day’s worth of use.
That said, it’s still a useful feature to have, as you never know when you’re going to be caught short and unable to dock your handset for a 30-minute Fast Charge. But that’s not the only time it will come in handy: a lot of manufacturers bundle such a utility on their device for use at nighttime, when eyes are more sensitive to light.
Huawei has a separate tool for that, though. It’s called Eye Comfort and can be scheduled to activate, then deactivate, at a certain time, filtering out blue light to relieve visual fatigue. Dark Mode, on the other hand, flips the switch, replacing the usual white background that’s present in all system applications with a black one.
How to enable Dark Mode on the Huawei P30
- Open Settings.
- Select Battery.
- Flip the switch next to Darken Interface Colors to On.
