How to take a Super Macro photo on the Huawei P30 Pro

It lets you snap a picture a mere 2.5cm from a subject

The camera is the main attraction on the Huawei P30 Pro, so it should come as no surprise to hear that it has a number of fantastic features on board to deliver the best photo-taking experience on the market — one of which is Super Macro Mode.

When enabled, Super Macro Mode lets you snap a picture a mere 2.5-centimetres away from a subject in order to deliver a close-up that can rival that of most high-end DSLRs on the market, thanks to the Leica co-engineered quad-camera setup.

To exit Super Macro Mode, tap the X

Super Macro Mode will initiate when the Huawei P30 Pro best sees fit if you’re shooting with the Master AI activated. If you aren’t, however, you’ll need to turn on the feature manually whenever you want to use it. But it only takes a second.

How to enable Super Macro Mode on the Huawei P30 Pro

  1. Open up the Camera.
  2. Swipe left on the navigation bar above the Shutter button until you reach More.
  3. Scroll down, then select Super Macro.
