It’s confirmed: Huawei will be at IFA 2019 in September.
Huawei Hub has learned that Huawei CEO Richard Yu will take to the stage at IFA 2019 on September 6 to discuss AI, IoT and 5G, while also showcasing the firm’s latest smartphone and chipset innovations — including the rumored Huawei Mate 30 and Huawei Mate 30 Pro, and the Kirin 990 CPU that’s said to be driving them.
That’s about all we know about Huawei’s IFA 2019 Keynote; though we expect there to be a number of additional revelations worked into Yu’s announcement, like a new version of EMUI. We should also hear more about the Huawei x Gentle Monster so-called Smart Eyewear the firm announced alongside the Huawei P30 back in March.
What is IFA?
IFA, or Internationale Funkausstellung Berlin, is an annual trade show where the world’s leading manufacturers come together to showcase their latest innovations — in the form of laptops, smartphones and tablets. It’s also home to an abundance of home appliances, including fridge freezers, microwaves and washing machines.
When is IFA 2019?
IFA 2019 is scheduled to run from September 6 through September 11, though most of the big announcements — like rival Samsung’s supposed Galaxy Note 10 unveiling — will likely take place on either September 5 or September 6, with members of the media having access to the venue from September.
What will Huawei announce at IFA 2019?
While information is spare, word on the street has it that Huawei will use IFA 2019 as a platform to take the wraps off the Huawei Mate 30, with one source (who has a remarkable track record) telling Huawei Hub that the announcement could take place on September 4 — two days before IFA is scheduled to kick off.
