Huawei MediaPad M6 Pro could launch on March 26

The MediaPad M5 Pro successor is right around the corner

Huawei is working on a successor to its flagship MediaPad M5 Pro, if a reference to an unannounced device with a sequential model number, buried in a batch of code that makes its Kirin 970 CPU work with other hardware, is to be believed.

It’s been dubbed the Huawei MediaPad M6 Pro and is said to feature a 10.7-inch LCD screen (2560 x 1660), as well as Huawei’s Kirin 970 CPU, which will be coupled with either 4GB or 6GB of RAM and at least 64GB of expandable internal storage.

The MediaPad M6 Pro is also believed to feature a 13MP rear-facing camera, an 8MP selfie shooter, a fingerprint reader and a 7500mAh battery — all of which will be driven by EMUI 9, Huawei’s repackaged version of Android 9.0 Pie.

Some tipsters suspect that Huawei will showcase the M6 Pro alongside the Huawei P30, Huawei P30 Pro and Huawei P30 Lite at its event in Paris, France on March 26, which seems feasible seeing as the M5 Pro was launched in April 2018.
