Huawei P30 Pro now receiving a much-needed software update

It streamlines the performance of the in-screen fingerprint reader

Huawei is rolling out a new software update for the Huawei P30 Pro, bundling a number of much-needed improvements for the in-screen fingerprint reader and the rear-facing camera, in addition to a fix for a bug that resulted in audio falling out of sync while streaming videos through Instagram, Netflix and YouTube.

In terms of what the release does to the camera and the fingerprint reader, it’s believed to enhance the capabilities of the former’s Night Mode and SuperZoom features, and streamline the performance of the latter — resulting in a faster processing time, with a view to making it as accurate and responsive as can be.

To check to see if the update is ready for your Huawei P30 or Huawei P30 Pro, head into Settings, select System, tap Software Update, then click Check for Updates. Alternatively, you can always wait until you receive a notification prompting you to install the upgrade, though that could take a couple of days to arrive.
