The Huawei Y7 (2019) is now available in Europe, where it can be had in a choice of three colors — Aurora Blue, Coral Red and Midnight Black — for €220 ($250) outright from a number of manufacturers spread across the continent.
Designed to compete in the mid-range market, the Huawei Y7 (2019) is almost identical to the Huawei Y7 Pro (2019) with the main difference being that it features a downgraded 8MP front-facing camera, while the latter has a 16MP sensor.
Both bundle a 6.26-inch LCD HD+ screen, interjected by a waterdrop notch that houses the aforementioned selfie shooter, a Snapdragon 450 CPU, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of expandable internal storage and a dual-camera on the rear (13MP + 2MP).
That’s all driven by EMUI 8.2, Huawei’s repacked version of Android 8.1 Oreo. The handset is, however, expected to receive a bump up to EMUI 9, the firm’s take on Android 9.0 Pie, in the near future — though we don’t know when.
Aided by Huawei’s AI-driven Power Saving Mode, the pièce de résistance is the colossal 4000mAh non-removable battery the Huawei Y7 (2019) has tucked under the hood, which make the device good for around 48-hours of intermediate use.
